Broken Stars

I wrote this a long time ago and my fabulous friend Tiffany wrote music for it on the guitar and she sings it too porque she is a fabulous singer.

I keep waking up cold and tired
Cause the thoughts of you won't let me sleep
and now that I"m alone
I spend my nights looking at the sky
Searching the stars for something more
An answer to the question I can't ask.

They I see a star shoot across the night
and I start to make my only wish
but then I notice it's just another broken star
falling apart like you and I
In a moment it's gone and I'm left to wonder
if the same thing will happen to us.

All I want is a storm to come
to hide the stars from my view
because seeing them reminds me of you
and I don't think my heart
can stand breaking again.
As the stars are falling from the sky
I wonder if you're watching all this too.

The stars are fading away now and leaving me alone again
but as the sun shines down, my broken heart knows
there will be another night
Another black night filled with thoughts of you
and broken stars falling from the skies.
